Madonna's Rebel Heart tour kicked off last night in Montreal, Canada. There, she and her dancers debuted costumes designed exclusively by Gucci creative director Alessandro Michele.

"It has been a marvellous experience and a great gift collaborating with Madonna," Alessandro said in a statement. Now that I have had the chance to see her working, I truly understand why she is so grand! I believe she is a true artist and I am crazy about her."

Much like the matador-like style Madonna is known to love, her costume screams 'gypsy' and has lots of embroidery, colourful trimmings, fringe and ruffles. A big skirt, worn with high-heeled lace-up leather boots ties the look together. Her dancers' costumes are also heavy on ruffles, flowers and embroidery to complement her extravagant outfit. Madonna, of course, even has a hat with silk flowers to wear.

Thanks to her lightning-fast fans on Instagram, you get a glimpse of her and her dancers wearing the designs onstage. Now we wait to see Alexander Wang's and Jeremy Scott's ideas for her Rebel Heart wardrobe.
