Gucci Collaborates With DJs For Fringe Bag Campaign

Top female DJs create playlists for Gucci's new Spotify hub

Following the release of its short film The Fringe, Gucci tapped an eclectic group of fashion-forward female DJs as part of a wider, sassier campaign for its signature Spring/Summer 2014 Bamboo Fringe bags.

Shot on-location, these DJs included Harley Viera-Newton, JaKissa Taylor-Semple a.k.a. DJ Kiss, Pixie Geldof, Leah Weller, Chelsea Leyland, and Leigh Lezark. Each was asked to lend her own interpretation of Gucci’s signature fringe bags to the photographs.

Gucci also launched its new Spotify hub, for which six of the DJs curated exclusive playlists. Branded streaming channel? Don't mind if we do.

Whether done in spirit of dancing with the fringe bag or to celebrate female influence in music – considering Creative Director's Frida Giannini's passion for music – you'll hear no complaints from us about how this special social media campaign has us lusting after the Fringe handbag.

Also noteworthy is how the Fringe was quite cheekily compared to jellyfish tentacles in the short film. Made us giggle, but now we want one even more.
