There's no question Givenchy's artistic director, Riccardo Tisci, has an eye for very beautiful things and people, but still he manages to surprise us. This time, it's with news that the French house has chosen actress Julia Roberts to front its Spring 2015 campaign.

Riccardo announced the news by posting three breathtaking black and white images on his Instagram account yesterday, welcoming Julia to the "gang". The photos were shot by renowned fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott (who also shot Madonna for Versace this season) and styled by Katy England. They reflect the strong and powerful aesthetic of the house under Tisci, featuring the 47-year-old Pretty Woman star in edgy suits and a sheer black chiffon blouse. We're enamoured.

A press release from the brand said that the images are poised to offer "the perfect interpretation of Givenchy timeless beauty." With a classic Hollywood icon like Julia, known the world over for her talent and strength as much as her looks, Riccardo's done "timeless beauty" just right, as always.
