Girls' Generation's Jessica Jung launches fashion line, BLANC & ECLARE

After her shocking departure from K-Pop's biggest act, the Korean-American singer is back with a fashion business

South Korea's Girls' Generation is well known for being one of the biggest girl groups in K-Pop. The news of the forced departure of vocalist Jessica Jung from the nine-member group due to a one-sided decision from her agency, SM Entertainment a few weeks ago saddened the whole fandom. Reports are saying that the agency was not pleased with Jessica being too focused on building her fashion side business, BLANC group, causing her to reportedly neglect her Girls' Generation activities, though Jessica's official statement said otherwise.

But that didn't bring the 25-year-old down. The Californian native is set to turn her entertainment downfall into a chance to dominate the fashion industry with newly launched fashion line BLANC & ECLARE.

Formerly named BLANC, Jessica decided to reinvent her business's vision, adding 'ECLARE'  to the name. Purportedly this comes from the Latin root word Clara, that expresses clarity and brightness as a sign of Jessica's career rebirth.

Though BLANC & ECLARE is barely a few months old in the fashion world, it has received positive feedback and support from fans and peers all over the globe. As of now, the brand only sells eyewear that Jessica has created in partnership with Puyi Optical, Glasstique and soon Lane Crawford in mid-October. Soon the brand will expand to ready-to-wear apparel, fragrances and accessories. The fashion line will also move their Hong Kong headquarters to New York.

Looks like Jessica is becoming her own CEO after years of diligent practice and sleepless rehearsals in Girls' Generation. You show them, baby girl.
