Gigi Hadid proves that she's more than a model in Reebok campaign
She's the face of the brand's #PerfectNever campaign
Gigi Hadid has something new to add to her growing resume and it's her first fitness campaign with Reebok. She fronts the brand's #PerfectNever campaign – the one that UFC fighter Ronda Rousey launched in July – to "call for women around the globe to reject the expectations and pressures of perfection".
To further enforce that message, Gigi is dressed in her boxing workout gear, she's sweaty, her hair is on the level of messiness you wish you could get at the gym, and she doesn't look like the composed and impeccably-dressed supermodel we know. #PerfectNever shows off a side of her we don't really see much of, save for the ocassional workout video on Instagram.
Of course, Gigi still looks perfect in the photos. Blame sorcery (and good genes).
"Perfect" never exceeds expectation. It doesn't allow us to reach our full potential. May we be confident and have love for who we are, but, in all that we are passionate about, may we always remember that Good is the enemy of GREAT. Don't settle. I’m so honored to join a campaign that’s committed to pushing these boundaries for women. Thank you @reebokwomen for creating such an inspiring message of female empowerment - I’m so excited to be a part of it! #PerfectNever #BeMoreHuman #TeamReebok @reebok #ad
"So many women around the world in so many different career paths and places are expected to be perfect and I know that it sounds cliché, but none of us are," Gigi told ELLE.com. "I think that it's important to just be open about that. It makes life so much easier when you can just say 'I'm human' at the end of the day."
"I think that not being perfect has given me the freedom to keep getting better," she added.
Remember, this is no model disguising as a boxer. Gigi boxes for real.
