George at Asda 'Chanels' Supermarket

The supermarket chain and clothing brand recreates the French fashion house's runway show

In a very tongue-in-cheek homage to the runway spectacle that was the Chanel Supermarket, clothing line George at Asda staged its own clever supermarket chic show, showcasing the brand's latest collection with grocery basket in tow, and models posing by neatly stacked shelves.

While Chanel had Joan Smalls, Cara Delevingne, and Kendall Jenner, George at Asda had their own lookalikes carrying trolleys arm-crook hook style, looking – dare we say – just as cool their runway counterparts.

It's not that this whole thing about having clothes and food in one supermarket is unusual – speaking of local examples, hello Tesco, AEON Jusco, and Giant. However, we love that the realism of fashion and grocery shopping coming together in a very relatable (maybe even common) setting is being recognised and 'chaneled' in style.

All puns aside, see the real Chanel AW14 collection here.
