First look: Nike x Liberty AW14
November 1, mark the date.
It's a well-documented fact that a Liberty collaboration gets us very excited. But there is no Liberty collab like a Liberty-Nike collab so brace yourselves – it's back.
This time it's a bit special, because it's the tenth time the two super brands have paired up. The Liberty designers have given Nike a little more leeway than usual and for the first time ever they've modernised an archive Liberty print. In this case it's the delicate Belmont Ivy print, and it's been overlaid with polka dots because polka dots are cool and universally loved.
The new print, in purple and blue-black variations, has been deployed across six styles of sneaker, as well as a small edit of apparel. No word on prices yet, but based on previous collections we expect the sneakers to be around the £80-100 mark. The collection goes live for sale on the Liberty website on November 1, 12 midnight, UK time which will be 8am for us over on this side of the Equator. If you miss it on the Liberty website, the footwear will launch on the international Nike site on November 28, followed by the apparel on December 1.
