Fendi won't be going fur-free any time soon. The Italian fashion house has announced that it will be presenting a fur haute couture show in Rome on 7 July this year.

"A Haute Fourrure fashion show in Rome is the best way to celebrate Fendi's 90 years anniversary as it expresses our roots and DNA while transmitting daring creativity and craftsmanship in furs," said Fendi CEO Pietro Beccari in a statement.

This will be the second Haute Fourrure show; the first was held last year in honour of creative director Karl Lagerfeld's 50th anniversary with Fendi.

"Fur for me is something Italian because in France, I never do fur," Karl told WWD last year. "There are not many great fur people here, and their technique is basic compared to what I'm used to."
