Emilio Pucci puts wheels on fashion with first ever skateboard
Now you can roll like one of the cool kids. Watch the short film here
Emilio Pucci has just introduced its first ever collection of skateboards. To celebrate, the Italian fashion house collaborated with Swiss university École cantonale d'art de Lausanne and video channel Nowness to produce a short film entitled Rolling with Emilio Pucci.
Edward Housden directed the short, which stars 17-year-old British model Martha-Rose Redding, who takes on two young boys Harry Breen and Hritvik Sachdeva in a skateboard race. Her competitors later become her heroes when she suffers a misstep and falls. Not willing to give up, she climbs up a ramp, erases all hesitation, and takes a dive down with her skateboard.
The skateboard is made with durable beech wood designed for use on asphalt, gravel and cement grounds. The Pucci logo is featured on the top of the board, while at the bottom are the brand's signature kaleidoscopic Dolce Vita patterns. Emilio Pucci's signature is printed on the corner, too. Available in seven designs, the skateboards are sold exclusively on emiliopucci.com for €370 (approx. RM1,765).
Unfortunately, the boards are only available in select shipping destinations, not Malaysia (surprise, surprise). Time to call in favours from friends abroad, skater girls.
