Chinese-Canadian actor and singer Kris Wu has landed himself a modelling gig with Burberry as its new menswear ambassador.

It seems that a collaboration between the two were inevitable; Kris made his runway debut when he closed Burberry's menswear show in January and sat front row at Burberry's first co-ed show in September 2017, held at Makers House in London.

The 26-year-old was also part of the South Korean boy band EXO before he left the group to pursue a solo career in 2014. He has since appeared in Chinese films like Somewhere Only We Know and will star in Luc Besson's upcoming Valerian and The City of A Thousand Planets alongside Cara Delevingne and Dane DeHaan.

As part of his new role as brand ambassador, Kris has curated five distinctive looks from Burberry's collections, using pieces like the popular rucksack.

"I am so thrilled to be officially joining the Burberry Family," said Kris. "Burberry is such a great British brand which has this amazing combination of heritage and innovation. I was given full freedom with this collaboration, and it has been a really incredible experience."

"Kris is a modern day artist who works seamlessly across all these different worlds from music, to fashion to film, which really resonates with us as a brand and which inspired me to want to work together," said Burberry CEO Christopher Bailey. "He loves fashion and takes a lot of pleasure in dressing well, so it really has been a privilege to work with Kris on this very special collaboration."
