Li Chen and Fan Bingbing take us through their perfect Chinese New Year
China's favourite couple stars in H&M's Chinese New Year campaign, shot by artistic photographer Chen Man in Beijing. The collection is fun and sporty, with plenty of red accented with dark wash denim and gold. Li Chen and Fan Bingbing tell us how they spend the season.
What do you love about Chinese New Year?
Fan Bingbing: When I was a child, playing with firecrackers was definitely my favourite part. Nowadays, I love being with my family for the big feast while watching CCTV's New Year Gala. We always have a lot to talk about!
Li Chen: Helping my mother cook and sitting together with my family for the Lunar New Year meal.
What do you usually wear on the day?
LC: Of course I will wear red! I also prefer casual wear because when it comes to style, comfort is my priority.
What was it like working together for H&M's Chinese New Year campaign?
LC: An absolute joy, it was interactive and the chemistry between us was great! I hope that our first campaign together brings a Spring Festival full of love and joy to everyone.
FB: The chemistry between Li Chen and I has always been fantastic and we are very playful whenever we're together. These candid moments have been captured by Chen Man and I look forward to sharing the images with everyone.
Which is your favourite look from the collection?
LC: The red pullover with reflective finish; matched with a pair of slim-fit joggers and sneakers, the look is sleek and effortless.
FB: My favourite item has to be the feather printed flare dress in bold red. Red is suitable for the Spring Festival and the flare at the bottom of the dress brings elegance to the look.
