DKNY creative directors to leave brand
Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne exit just after three seasons
Following LMVH's sale of Donna Karan International to G-III for $650 million, creative directors Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osbourne have decided to leave DKNY, the label they helmed since April 2015. Caroline Brown, Donna Karan International CEO, will also be leaving the company.
"Given the company sale and subsequent change in strategies, we have decided to step down and focus on our own business Public School," Osborne and Chow said in a joint statement. "It's been an unbelievable experience to work side by side with the wonderful people at DKNY, especially our amazing design team and atelier. We wish the company success in the future."
Their showed their debut DKNY collection in September 2015 for the SS16 season, and had wrapped up their last for the SS17 season in September 2016.
