Collette Dinnigan makes a comeback
The Australian designer marks a return to her 90s beginnings
Australian designer Collette Dinnigan will relaunch her once much-loved lingerie lines in autumn this year.
Having first made her name in the '90s with her super sexy bras and knickers, Collette then went on to create some of the world's most in-demand bridal and semi-couture gowns, which were worn by stars such as Halle Berry, Nicole Kidman and Angelina Jolie, and hugely successful ready-to-wear lines. It was a sad day when she decided to close her main business in December 2013 to focus on her family. She has, thankfully, continued to work on her diffusion line, Collette by Collette Dinnigan.
Collette describes her revived lingerie line as "things that women want to wear, not that men think we should wear." Collette has also just launched her book Obsessive Creative and in September will see an extensive retrospective exhibition of her work open at Sydney’s Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences. She'll then see the year out with the relaunch of a children's wear collection too.
