Trust a ballerina to pointe you to the most beautiful ballet shoes. Better yet, have them design said shoes for you. Thanks to Cole Haan and their collaboration with three of New York City Ballet's finest dancers, ballerina flats-loving women everywhere have just had to make more room in their shoe cupboards.

Principal dancers Sara Mearns, Megan Fairchild and corps dancer Gretchen Smith teamed up with the shoe label to create ballet flats that anyone can wear on a daily basis.

"I need to move from the stage to the city effortlessly and I look for flats that allow me to do that with a polished ease and beauty," Sara told ELLE.com.

Available in two styles – the Avery En Pointe Ballet and Avery Printed Tutu Ballet – the collection launched on 1 October, which is World Ballet Day. The Avery En Pointe Ballet has a grosgrain ribbon back detail and comes in three lovely colours: silver metallic suede, black metallic suede and sugar plum suede.
