Coach reveals new store concept at KLCC
It's all about contrasting textures and luxe materials
Coach has just unveiled its next-generation retail concept at its Suria KLCC store. Designed by Coach executive creative director Stuart Vevers with creative firm Studio Sofield, the space draws inspiration from New York, the city the brand has always called home.
As shopping goes digital, brands are putting more and more emphasis on their retail spaces to help create a more inspired shopping experience for customers, and Coach isn't any different. "As the Coach brand continues on the path of transformation, I wanted to create something different – different for Coach and unique in luxury. I believe the new incarnation of the Coach store that William Sofield and I created will trigger a powerful change in the perception of Coach; it is sophisticated and refined, yet playful and authentic," says Coach Executive Creative Director Stuart Vevers.
With an emphasis on contrasting textures and luxe materials, the 1,600 square foot retail store locted on the mall's ground floor level mixes elegant mid-century furniture with contemporary custom cabinets made from natural and ebonized ash, blackened steel, bronze and mahogany trim. Apart from that, beautiful iron spot brick pavers, reclaimed heart-pine wood flooring with custom hand-tufted wool carpet are also bound to make any interior design-savvy shopper stop and notice. One thing's for sure, leather goods aren't the only ones worth checking out on your next visit to the Coach store.
