Carolina Herrera is launching a limited-edition capsule collection exclusively on Mytheresa. The collection, which the designer said is inspired by her first ever collection in 1981, is set to launch on the online retailer's website on 10 May.

"The collection is very reminiscent of the glamour from my first collection," Herrera told WWD. "It embodies the style and effortless silhouettes, but with a modern spirit. I wanted to focus on pieces that were uncomplicated in shape, allowing women to have fun making it their own – fashion, after all, should be fun."

Fans can expect an asymmetrical gold lamé gown, a maroon velvet military jacket and co-ordinating skirt, and a zebra print silk shirtdress. The collection will also include a pair of bejewelled sneakers designed in collaboration with footwear label Eytys. Prices range from $250 (approx. RM995) for jewellery to $3,700 (approx. RM14,755) for a gown.
