Bulgari and Zaha Hadid unveil Serpenti installation
Jewellery icon meets design icon
Milan Design Week is in full swing and Bulgari is celebrating the fair by unveiling an installation inspired by its timeless design icon, the Serpenti, in the garden of the Bulgari Hotel. Aside from being a work of modern art, the white, polygonal structure by visionary Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid also houses an exhibition of Serpenti creations dating from the 1960s up to today, including the 2015 Serpenti Tubogas necklace in pink gold and pavé diamonds.
The installation is open for viewing from 14–19 April. Apart from the hotel artwork, the window of the Bulgari store in via Montenapoleone also features a display of Zaha Hadid’s version of the snake. Man, don't you wish you were in Milan right now?
