From thigh-high slits and oversized coats to toeing the line and daring to bare, celebrities, designers, fashion bloggers and models set new heights at the British Fashion Awards last night (FYI, naked dresses are so yesterday).

Both Emma Watson and Rihanna wore oversized blazers, albeit with Emma rocking a far less raunchy look than the Barbadian singer. The Harry Potter actress wore a Dior blazer over her Misha Nonoo jumpsuit as she beat the likes of Benedict Cumberbatch, David Beckham, Cara Delevingne, Amal Clooney and David Gandy to win the most public votes for the British Style Award, which was presented to her by none other than Harry Styles.

Simone Rocha is taking the fashion world by storm, and it's only right she was given the New Establishment Designer award for doing so. She won the Emerging Womenswear Designer award in 2013 and her successor this year is Marques'Almeida. Meanwhile, Alexander McQueen was crowned Red Carpet Designer of the year.

To no one's surprise, Cara Delevingne scooped up a much-deserved Model of the Year award for her contribution to the international fashion scene, and not just thanks to the feminist parade she lead at Chanel's SS15 show.

Victoria Beckham took home the award for Brand of the Year, accompanied by her husband, David Beckham who seems to have recovered well from the car accident last Saturday.

Nicholas Ghesquière bagged the International Designer honour for his work at Louis Vuitton. The brand was also recognised with the Creative Campaign award for its dynamic ads in the past year (thank the LV monogram project, Michelle Williams, photographer collab and Nicholas's Instagram take-over).

Never underestimate the power of cereal and biscuits because Anya Hindmarch won Accessory Designer of the Year for "enhancing accessories within fashion." All eyes were also on accessories brand Prism, which won the Emerging Accessory Designer accolade.

Erdem was crowned Womenswear Designer of the Year, which had us taking a second look at Benedict Cumberbatch's fiancée, Sophie Hunter, who has twice chosen the designer's dresses in recent weeks (the couple did not attend the BFAs, though). That's your muse right there, Erdem.

Finally, as speculated, John Galliano made first official appearance since 2011 to mark his return to the fashion industry by presenting the Outstanding Achievement award to Anna Wintour. Welcome back, John.
