Surprise! The CFDA's top secret Fashion Icon Award winner is none other than Beyoncé. The singer dedicated her win to her mother and grandmother.

"Thank you for showing me that having presence is about far more than the clothes you wear and your physical beauty," she said.

The awards, hosted by Joel McHale were held on Monday night at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, where fashion designers, celebrities, and models made up the star-studded guest list.

Marc Jacobs was announced Womenswear Designer of the Year while Rachel Mansur and Foriana Gavriel of Mansur Gavriel (the accessory brand behind the cult bucket bags) were named Accessories Designer of the Year.

Meanwhile, Thom Browne won Menswear Designer of the Year, Gucci creative director Alessandro Michele received the International Award, and the late David Bowie was posthumously awarded the Board of Director's Tribute, presented by Tilda Swinton.
