Audrey Hepburn's granddaughter to walk for Lanvin
Emma Ferrer was tapped by Alber Elbaz to walk the Lanvin runway at the upcoming Paris Fashion Week
Emma Ferrer has until now been out of the spotlight for her nearly all of her life, but her heritage has inevitably lent her the X-factor to become, possibly, fashion's new darling.
Bearing a huge likeness to her late grandmother and Hollywood legend, Audrey Hepburn, 20-year-old Emma's height and poise has not gone unnoticed. Alber Elbaz, the creative director of Lanvin has asked her to walk his Spring Summer 2015 show at Paris Fashion Week.
"I am so nervous, though," the Florence Academy of Art student admitted to the New York Post. She knows what's in store for her and she couldn't be more excited. "Living in Florence has been amazing, but I am ready to be in New York, where everything is happening. It's going to be a dream," Emma added.
Although she appreciates the gravity of her lineage, Emma knows that she has to work hard to achieve things.
"I'd like to think my grandmother would be proud of me for other things I've accomplished. I was a hard worker at school. I graduated at the top of my class. I don't know how she would feel about this in particular," she said. "I would like to become a woman I feel like she was in her strength and compassion, elegance and kindness. Everyone always talks about how kind and down-to-earth she was, you know."
Will it be like seeing Audrey Hepburn on the runway? Or will there be a whole new story to tell about a certain Emma Ferrer who just happens to be the actress' granddaughter? We'll know in about a week or so when the curtain lifts at the Lanvin fashion show.
