Hermès designs for Apple Watch Series 2
Apple and Hermès have collaborated again for a bigger selection of designs for the Apple Watch
With the Apple Watch Series 2 already on everyone's wishlist, Hermès is back again with another collaboration with the tech giant. Later this month, the luxury leather label will the new Apple Watch Hermès, with designs inspired by its own signature timepieces (the Clipper, Cape Cod and Espace Hermès models).
What's new: the Double Buckle Cuff in Swift or Epsom leathers, as well as the Single Tour Deployment Buckle band.
The Double Buckle, inspired by the Pierre Hardy-designed signature Hermès sandal, comes in signature Hermès colours that are entirely new to the Apple-Hermès partnership, such as Rose Jaipur (red), Étoupe (brown) and Bleu Agate (blue). The red and blue straps are sold separately.
The Single Tour Deployment Buckle band is only available in a beautiful tan colour (Fauve), but there's an interesting twist. The strap has a hidden deployment buckle that opens with a single click. Staying true to Hermès' heritage, the band is made from Hermès Barenia leather.
The older Double Tour and Single Tour straps from Hermès and Apple's previous collaboration are also making their return, but with an expanded selection of colours to choose from this time. Users can choose to swap out the leather straps for an exclusive orange Sport Band that will be included with every Apple Watch Hermès model.
Apple Watch Hermès will be available from 23 September onwards in select markets. At the moment, it won't be available in Malaysia, but the closest country that will carry the collection is Singapore. Prices of the watches vary according to model, and will cost you north of RM4,000 each. For more details, click here.
