Anthony Vaccarello is Versus Versace's new creative director
Donatella Versace has found a new boss for Versace's diffusion line
Hot on the heels of Alessandro Michele's appointment at Gucci, Versus Versace has also named its new creative director. Anthony Vaccarello, previous Versus collaborator and the man who made this amazing collection, is officially the head of Versus. This is the first time the brand has had a proper creative director since Christopher Kane, who left in 2012.
The announcement was made last night on social media to much excitement. Again, we're talking about the designer who reinvented the iconic safety pin dress with even more sex-appeal and elegance than ever before.
"I've followed Anthony's work from his very first collection; as soon as I met him I realised immediately he was the one, he gets it, his talent screams Versus Versace," said Donatella, who stays on as artistic director.
Anthony is to present his first collection as creative director for the Autumn Winter 2015 season, but according to The Independent, it remains uncertain if that is to be at the upcoming Milan Fashion Week.
