First Diane von Furstenberg announced her move out of the tents of Bryant Park for the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Now Alexander Wang has also decided to head out of Manhattan for the February shows, setting up instead at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, saying the space is perfect for the season’s creative concept. We’re taking that to mean it’s going to be an extension of the label’s signature bare bones cool, with an added frisson of industrial chic.

He’s moved to a later slot on February 8, drawing the editors out of the city for Saturday night. We look forward to hearing the inevitable complaints turn to gushing adulation.
