Alessandra Facchinetti exits Tod's
Her three-year tenure as creative director at Tod's comes to an end
Alessandra Facchinetti has exited her role as creative director at luxury brand Tod's. This ends her three-year tenure at the brand after she took over from Derek Lam in 2013.
Facchinetti said in a statement that she will now "focus on other projects" that were "put aside in order to be able to achieve Tod's strategies."
"I have given much consideration to this decision; we came to this conclusion after a thoughtful conversation and I wish Alessandra all the best for her future endeavours," said Tod's Group CEO Diego Della Valle in a statement.
Facchinetti was also creative director at Valentino in 2007 before leaving for Gucci (she worked for then-creative director Tom Ford for about four years before replacing him to lead the womenswear department for two seasons). Her impressive resume includes a 7-year stint at Miu Miu too. The new Tod's creative director has not yet been named.
