3.1 Phillip Lim casts local girls from Bhutan for new campaign

No modelling experience required

Best casting of the season? We think so. Together with art photographer Viviane Sassen, designer Phillip Lim travelled to Bhutan to shoot his Autumn Winter 2015 campaign sans makeup artists, hair or wardrobe stylists. Most art directors would call that kind of shoot a disaster, but 3.1 Phillip Lim ended up with one of the most stunning campaigns we've seen of late, all thanks to Bhutan's locals.

Both Phillip and Viviane only depended on the raw, natural, and should we say, stunning looks of the local girls and a 70-year-old male trek guide from the so-called "World's Happiest Country" to achieve billboard-worthy campaign images. And we think it totally worked. Look at the stunning photos and decide for yourself.
