The Omega Speedmaster 38 mm is the watch to wear for life
The brand's beloved Speedmaster has evolved from its early space exploration days into a refined timepiece for men and women
The Omega Speedmaster is a timepiece that brims with history. Throughout the years, it has graced the wrists of many notable figures – in fact, American astronaut Wally Schirra was the first to wear a Speedmaster in space, during the Mercury Atlas-8 mission in 1962. In July 1969, America's Buzz Aldrin also wore a Speedmaster during mankind's first trip to the moon – another first for Omega's heritage line.
The original Speedmaster has since been known as the choice timepiece for many astronauts and space agencies, earning it the nickname "the moonwatch." For the modern day, Omega introduces the Speedmaster 38 mm, a fresh take on the historic favourite.
The revamped Speedmaster 38 mm chronograph features horizontal oval subdials and a vertical oval date window, resulting in a sleek dial. The sporty aesthetic of the Speedmaster is maintained, and certain models are elevated with an elegant diamond-paved bezel.
The 'Cappucino' Speedmaster (RM36,900) is made of stainless steel and 18K gold and comes with a taupe-brown leather strap. Its rich colour earned it its name while its diamond-studded bezel adds a glamorous flair.
For those who love all-white options, this Speedmaster (RM36,100) made of stainless steel, with a white mother-of-pearl dial and matching leather strap. Besides the diamond-studded bezel, tiny diamonds also circle the oval subdials for extra shine.
If you prefer something subtle, opt for this steel-on-steel minimalist Speedmaster (RM19,300) that comes with an ice blue dial.
For low-key elegance with a bit more colour, this steel and 18K yellow gold Speedmaster (RM24,500) comes with a green aluminium bezel and matching leather strap.
