For many of Jakarta's residents, this area is filled with memories: it has witnessed the evolution of disco music in Indonesia, and in the '80s a club called Lipstick held rollerskating parties here. Now it's a hub for casual restaurants and ethnic clothes shopping, and has been dubbed 'Little Tokyo' for its Japanese population (including their spas and karaoke bars). Jln.
