No more dawdling for you aspiring filmmakers. Astro and Sundance Channel are having a competition for Malaysians to submit short films that stand a chance to be aired at an exclusive event in KL in December and on television for all to watch.

The selected top three films will be premiered on Sundance Channel HD (CH438 on Astro) in 2015. We haven't even gotten to the icing on the cake.

The grand prize winner will be given exclusive access to screenings, panels, events and the awards ceremony at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. You won't be going all alone because the prize includes flight tickets and accommodation for two people for three nights.

If the fact that you may be the one to go to Sundance Festival isn't enough to get your film project moving... oh, we don't know, maybe the possibility of bumping into A-list celebrities will (we sure wouldn't pass up a chance to meet Daniel Radcliffe and Dane DeHaan).

You have till 23 November to submit your films, which must have never been shown on Malaysian television before. The producer or director of the film needs to have proof of residency in Malaysia to be eligible to compete. Finalists will be announced on 7 December.
