Watch Patsy and Eddy go on the run in the first full-length Ab Fab trailer

"You’ve killed Kate Moss!"

The first full-length trailer for Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie is out, and it's ever more hair-raising and nuts than the original TV series. Edina (played by Jennifer Saunders) and Patsy (Joanna Lumley) first distract an aghast Jon Hamm, then topple Kate Moss from a balcony straight into the Thames. They've done some illegal things in their heyday, but they've really outdone themselves now!

The trailer features a star-studded cast, from Stella McCartney and Gwendoline Christie to Lily Cole, with confirmed cameos by Alexa Chung, Dame Edna, Graham Norton and more supermodels (who we hope live to the end of the movie), Lara Stone and Suki Waterhouse. This makes it evident that Patsy and Eddy are still very much living the glitzy, glamorous high life, until, that is, they kill Kate Moss (resulting in hysterical party guests fainting in utter shock) and go on the run from the law.

There are homages to previous episodes, including the pilot where Eddy returns home drunk and trips and falls out of the car. We also see the return of Julia Sawalha as Eddy’s daughter Saffy, Jane Horrocks as Bubble and June Whitfield as Mother. There are some very Ab Fab moments in the trailer, lines like "What is this, some kind of late-life lesbo party?", "I've been trollied on Twitter. The woman told me I was a pariah", and, in response to being tased by a flight attendant played Rebel Wilson, Patsy replies: "Cheers, you don't get that on British airways".

So if the trailer is anything to go by, it looks like this is going to take us right back to the Ab Fab days on the telly, and all fans are in for a big, insane treat. It opens in the UK on 1 July, so we can only pray it comes to cinemas here not too long after that.
