Thor is now a female superhero
Loki had better watch out; Thor is back, and she is fiercer than ever
She's not going to be a female counterpart of Thor like She-Hulk is to the Hulk; "This new Thor isn't a temporary female substitute - she's now the one and only Thor, and she is worthy!" Marvel editor Wil Moss said.
However, he added that there will need to be an update on the inscription of Mjölnir, which states "Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor."
In case you still don't get it, Jason Aaron, writer of the new series asserted that "This is not She-Thor. This is not Lady Thor. This is not Thorita. This is Thor. This is the Thor of the Marvel Universe."
So, what happened? Where did this new Thor come from and does she have any connection to the male Thor? Did the original Thor misbehave? We can expect the gentlemanly Steve Rogers to be sensitive about this, but what on earth will Tony Stark say? Oh hey, Marvel universe theories, have a seat. You're going to be here for a long time – well, until October at least, when the new Thor series debuts.
