If you're a Harry Potter fan like us, you should sit down before watching the new teaser for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Starring Eddie Redmayne as magizoologist Newt Scamander, the film is set in 1926, 65 years before Harry enters Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

The film is a spinoff of sorts as it focuses on Newt, the author of the famous school textbook and how his collection of magical creatures escapes from his suitcase, which is bigger on the inside, while in New York for a conference.

Directed by David Yates (who helmed the last four Potter films) and written by J.K. Rowling (this is her first screenplay), the film also co-stars Ezra Miller, Colin Farrell, Katherine Waterston and Jon Voight.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them opens in cinemas in November 2016. Stay tuned for the exact date!
