Allison Williams was so excited when she was cast to play Peter Pan in NBC's upcoming live musical telecast that she started an Instagram account, posting an old photo of herself dressed up as the pirate-fighting boy.

Naturally, we have been wondering how the 26-year-old will look as Peter, until the actress introduced the first photo of her in character, cropped locks and all, on the Today show.

"I sort of very tentatively offered to cut my hair, I was like, 'You know, if it's a thing that would help I could cut my hair,' and they were like, 'You're welcome to do that, we're still gonna put you in a wig,'" she said.

Allison also uploaded a video from her first day of flying lessons.

Peter Pan Live! doesn't air until 4 December on NBC, but Allison already has us impressed, knowing that she'll be doing all that and singing at the same time. If you didn't already know, yes she sings, and here's proof from long before you got to know her in Girls.
