The Pitch Perfect 2 trailer gives 'Down Under' a new meaning

Who run the world? The Barden Bellas, and you better aca-believe it

Fat Amy (Rebel Wilson) gets the Barden Bellas into a messy situation when a performance of Wrecking Ball – which has her suspended in air like an aerial dancer – for the US President's birthday suffers a major wardrobe malfunction. Suspended from the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella, the girls have to compete in the World Championships and win in order to get reinstated.

"If you win it," ICCA commentators John (John Michael Higgins) and Gail (Elizabeth Banks) laugh. The only problem: no American team has ever won before, so Beca Mitchell (Anna Kendrick) and her team have to step up their game.

Faced with stiff competition from a very snarky European team, the Bellas perform their most intimidating set list yet – it's got Beyoncé, naturally – and are cheered on by Jesse (Skylar Astin) and Benji (Ben Platt).

Watch how the Bellas continue to break down every single barrier in their path in Pitch Perfect 2, out in cinemas this 14 May 2015.
