The official English-language trailer for The Little Prince has us feeling super nostalgic. For those who don't know, The Little Prince is a children's book by French author and aviator Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. It was published in 1943 and has since become the most widely read book in the world. The book tells the story of a pilot who gets stranded in the desert. There he meets a golden-haired little boy who tells him he is from an asteroid and cannot return home.

The animated film adaptation is directed by Mark Osborne and voiced by James Franco, Rachel McAdams, Marion Cotillard and Jeff Bridges. It will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival next month.

There is no news as to when the movie will be released in the States, but fans in France can mark their calendars for 29 July. We hope it will come to Malaysian cinemas, but for now we can only enjoy the whimsical trailer.
