Legendary Pictures released a new, extended trailer for Godzilla to add to the official teaser trailer, official main trailer, international trailer, and four preview clips. Honestly, we're not complaining. This time though, Godzilla's human characters get a tiny bit more trailer time.

The story centres on nuclear physicist Joseph Brody (Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston) whose wife Sandra (Juliette Binoche) gets trapped in a nuclear plant collapse after what is assumed to be a natural disaster. Joseph and his son, Ford (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) try to get on top of secrets being kept from them.

Cough, it's not a natural disaster, cough.

So how big is this Japanese kaiju exactly? Taking in account that its mere step creates a tsunami, and that all we've seen of the famed monster is its silhouette, its flare-lit tummy, its massive tail, and its horrific set of chompers, we actually still can't tell.

Elizabeth Olsen and Ken Watanabe co-star as Ford's wife Elle and scientist Dr. Serizawa respectively, with a stellar creative team behind the scenes. We're talking Looper, The Matrix, Anna Karenina, Django Unchained, Lord of the Rings, and Argo film credits, so Godzilla looks to be in good hands.

Also, blink, and you may miss the split-second view of what we think is a new monster at the 2:20 mark. Godzilla opens in Malaysian cinemas this 15 May 2014.
