'The Devil Wears Prada' is coming to Broadway
The Devil Wears Prada is being made into a musical. According to Associated Press, producer Kevin McCollum is adapting the 2006 film (which itself was adapted from the best-selling novel of the same name by Lauren Weisberger) for Broadway.
Tony Award-winner Kevin, who is also the guy behind stage adaptations of Ever After and Diary of a Wimpy Kid, has apparently inked a movie-to-musical deal with 20th Century Fox. We still don't know if Anne Hathaway and the film's other stars will join the cast, but we sure hope so. Who else but Meryl Streep could so perfectly play the icy Miranda Priestly?
And we are looking forward to seeing how memorable lines like "Florals? For spring? Goundbreaking" and "I refuse to be sick. I'm wearing Valentino, for crying out loud" get turned into song lyrics.
