They're back, Pitches

The pitch is back and it's bigger and louder than ever in Pitch Perfect 2. Barden University's Barden Bellas are gearing up for an international championship, which will see the all-girls a capella group compete against some of the most formidable teams from around the globe.

Anna Kendrick, Brittany Snow, Anna Camp and Rebel Wilson are among those reprising their roles as the band of misfits who make up the aca-awesome Bellas.

John Michael Higgins and Elizabeth Banks also return as the cynical International Championship of Collegiate A Capella (ICCA) officials, who introduce the Bellas to the quardrennial world championships. "No American team has ever won. That's because they hate us," the giggly pair assure the girls.

Fun but also intimidating fact: Elizabeth is not only acting in the sequel, but also producing and directing it. You go, girl!

Looks like the Bellas have a lot on their plate, but new girl Emily (Hailee Steinfeld) may just be the ingredient to their success. Of course, we hope that Emily's not the only fresh addition to the sequel, but between Elizabeth's drive and samples of explosive scenes in the trailer, Pitch Perfect 2 looks like it'll – in the words of Fat Amy – crush it.

Pitch Perfect 2 hits Malaysian cinemas on 14 May 2015.
