Transformers veterans Megan Fox and Michael Bay have kissed and made up. The result of their renewed partnership is a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot, directed by Michael and starring Megan.

We won't complain. Those of us lucky enough to have grown up watching the cartoon have always had a soft spot for the Ninjutsu-trained and and butt-kicking anthropomorphic quartet. We won't complain because this time, TMNT will have state-of-the-art CGI and motion capture animation thrown in to bring our heroes in a half shell to (real) life.

And we have to admit; this is going to be goosebumps-inducing.

In TMNT, Leonardo (Pete Ploszek), Michaelangelo (Noel Fisher), Raphael (Alan Ritchson) and Donatello (Jeremy Howard) will rise from the sewers and go up against Shredder (William Fichtner) and his evil Foot Clan. They won't do it alone; reporter April O'Neil (Megan Fox) and her cameraman (Will Arnett) will help the turtle team save the city... after some getting used to the fact that they are walking, talking, butt-kicking turtles, of course.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is set for a August 7 release in Malaysian cinemas.
