After making her acting debut alongside James Gandolfini in last year’s Enough Said, blogger, editor and fashion icon Tavi Gevinson is heading to Broadway. She’ll be appearing opposite Michael Cera and Kieran Culkin in the revival of Kenneth Lonergan’s play This Is Our Youth.

The play centres around three teenagers in 1982 New York: the dejected Warren (Michael Cera) who has just stolen $19,000 from his abusive, tycoon father; his drug-dealing friend Dennis (Kieran Culkin) and Jessica (Tavi Gevinson), an ‘anxiously insightful’ fashion student.

Tavi took to Twitter to break the news, linking to a Playbill article announcing the premiere.

This Is Our Youth has a star-studded past, debuting Off Broadway and playing in London starring at various times Josh Hamilton, Mark Ruffalo, Matt Damon, Colin Hanks, Jake Gyllenhaal, Casey Affleck, Anna Paquin and Freddie Prinze Jr among others.

Produced by Scott Rudin, This Is Our Youth will open in Chicago on June 18, before moving to New York on August 18.
