We wanted more after watching the 30-second teaser of Suffragette in April, and short of watching the film itself, we now have two trailers to indulge in.

The one above is from the BFI London Film Festival, where Suffragette will serve as the opening film on 7 October.

What also got our attention is British folk singer Robyn Sherwell's haunting version of Fleetwood Mac's Landslide, which plays in the background of the second trailer below.

Carey Mulligan and Meryl Streep star in the film, which follows the British suffragette movement in the late 19th century and early 20th century. Helena Bonham Carter is seen for the first time as Edith New, who tells Maud (played by Carey) that "I consider myself more of a soldier" in the battle for gender equality. Other characters like Steed (Brendan Gleeson) and Maud's husband Sonny (Ben Whishaw) make their debut in the trailers too.

Come on Malaysia, do the right thing and bring Suffragette to cinemas here.
