After the leaked footage of Suicide Squad made the rounds on the internet over the weekend, Warner Bros has officially released the clip, and we officially have chills.

Here's a recap: the film, directed by David Ayer, is about a group of villains who are recruited by a secret government agency to perform a dangerous black ops mission in exchange for clemency. It is still unclear as to what the mission is. Favourites aside, the highlight of the clip for us is when Jared Leto appears as the Joker.

We can see why David hired an onset therapist to help the cast stay sane after seeing the Thirty Seconds to Mars frontman in wild makeup and shocking green hair. Besides Jared, we also get to see Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Will Smith as Deadshot, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller.

Suicide Squad will come to local cinemas on 4 August 2016.
