Sara Bareilles never struck us as the princess type, but her rendition of Part of Your World at last weekend's The Little Mermaid in Concert is on replay right now because it was just perfect. The performance at LA's Hollywood Bowl saw Sara play Ariel, with Rebel Wilson as Ursula, Tituss Burgess as Sebastian, John Stamos as Chef Louie and Darren Criss as Prince Eric.

Disney hasn't put The Little Mermaid in its animated film reboot lineup – though Universal is making an adaptation with Chloë Grace Moretz as Ariel – but if anything, the concert was a stunning tribute and a taste of what magic Disney might be able to recreate if ever a musical film were to happen. And if it does, pray to the Disney movie gods that Rebel gets to play the evil sea witch Ursula. Among all the reasons you now have to love the Pitch Perfect star, this would be somewhere at the top.

Interesting fact: Tituss Burgess originated the role of Sebastian in the Broadway musical production of The Little Mermaid.

John Stamos like you've never seem him before – with a giant moustache and an infectious French accent. His other talent: conducting an orchestra with a spatula.

Glee star Darren Criss, not a stranger to the stage, sang Her Voice from the Broadway musical version.

Consider our week made.
