Rory Gilmore's bad-boy ex-boyfriend Jess returns to 'Gilmore Girls'
But what about Dean Forester?
[Updated 12 February 2016] Jared Padalecki, who plays Rory Gilmore's first boyfriend Dean Forester, has confirmed that he too is joining the Gilmore Girls revival. Let the three-way battle for Rory's heart begin (congratulations in advance, Dean).
Our Gilmore Girls revival high has just been fuelled even more by news of Milo Ventimiglia's participation in the revival. The actor who played Rory Gilmore's ex-boyfriend Jess Mariano in the series tweeted the long-awaited announcement with a picture of his copy of the script.
"What a great time to get back on set with some friends," Milo wrote.
Our reaction, along with everyone else's, has been universally combined into "Finally", to which Milo himself replied "Sorry for the wait."
With Matt Czuchry and Liza Weil reprising their roles as Rory's other ex-boyfriend Logan Huntzberger and friend Paris Geller respectively, the only other thing (apart from Melissa McCarthy's return as Sookie, which is probably not happening) we're dying to know is whether Rory's first love Dean Forester (Jared Padalecki) is going to come back, too. Deadline has caught wind of Jared possibly joining the cast as well, so cross all your toes and fingers for that to come true.
In the meantime, we'll just leave this here.
