Pope Francis's new album gives holy rolling a whole new meaning

When the Pope starts belting out rock music, you jump to it. In the name of hope, faith and unity, Pope Francis released Wake Up!, a Vatican-approved LP in collaboration with Europen label Believe Digital, chock full of the Pontiff's most stirring speeches about peace, environmetal issues and helping those in need. In Italian, English, Portuguese and Spanish, the uplifting talks are set against musical accompaniments that go from heavy rock melodies to Gregorian chants.

In Wake Up! Go! Go! Forward!, the first single released, Pope Francis addresses a South Korean audience against a smashing beat of synths, horns, pounding drums and electric guitars. Expect contemporary music like Latin, pop and rock infused with traditional Christian hymns. Proceeds go into a support fund for refugees.
