So Ant-Man missed out on being a founding member of the film version of The Avengers, but whatever. He's about to have his own solo film out (and will probably eventually join The Avengers in future films anyway) and by the looks of the new trailer, it's going to be quite a ride.

It's important to remember that the Ant-Man in focus here isn't Hank Pym, who first took on the shrinking superhero's mantle. Paul Rudd plays Scott Lang, a thief and electronics expert, who is mentored by Hank himself (Michael Douglas) to become the new Ant-Man and fight Darren Cross (Corey Stoll). Darren, once a protégé of Hank, is revealed in the trailer to have abused Hank's technology to create the Yellowjacket suit. Evangeline Lilly co-stars as Hank and Janet Van Dyne's daughter, Hope Van Dyne, who helps train Scott.

Look out for the most epic train crash ever after the movie title runs at the end. Ant-Man will hit Malaysian cinemas on 16 July 2015. And because we can't help it, here's a clip Marvel just released from The Avengers: Age of Ultron.
