Remember the girl who blew Pharrell Williams away at a masterclass for students at NYU Clive Davis Institute? That's folk singer Maggie Rogers, and she's just released a music video for the song that stole Pharrell's heart.

During the masterclass, Maggie and a few of her fellow students had shown their music to the singer-producer. She introduced Alaska to Pharrell, noting before playing the track that it still needed some remixing and mastering.

Pharrell's reaction to every bit of the song was priceless. Stunned, nearly moved to tears, thoroughly impressed – every expression a budding singer-songwriter wants to see on a producer's face.

After letting out two hearty wows, Pharrell told Maggie that he had "zero notes" for her song.

"It's because you're doing your own thing, it's singular," he said. "It's like when the Wu Tang Clan came out, like no one could really judge it. You either liked it or you didn't but you couldn't compare it to anything else. And that is such a special quality and all of us possess that quality."

"I feel like your whole story, I can hear it in the music," Pharrell, a little lost for words himself, continued. "That's a drug for me. That was cool."

We've yet to hear if Pharrell has watched the video. Here are Maggie's own notes about it.
