Don't let the animation distract you from the powerful message behind it

It's been a little over six months since we've heard anything new from Macy Gray so you can imagine just how thrilled we were when ELLE US premiered the video for her new single "B.O.B" yesterday. The song, which is about her "Battery Operated Boyfriend" (aka dildo), is actually the singer's way of taking a stand against sexual inequality.

"I hope it opens women up to talk about what's really real for them," she told ELLE US. "Women always have to be so private about their sexuality and their periods, whereas guys can just talk about their penises and whatever. Girls always have to be so ladylike about it. I hope girls can start talking...and just say the crudest stuff."

"You should have a Bob. You should have all kinds of shit. You shouldn't be so quiet," she added. Er, okay Macy...
