For a short time next week, Florence's Arno River will look a little different in pictures. It will have floating cubes held together by connecting bridges, joining the opposite banks of the river, all as part of Luisaviaroma's 13th Firenze4Ever event.

The Bridge of Love was designed by Claudio Nardi to symbolise hope, in line with this year's charity project by Luisaviaroma, Everything Starts With A Hug. The aim is to raise awareness for the Syrian refugee crisis. The Bridge of Love will also house the Design on Water exhibition, featuring a series of art that meets the Underwater Love theme.

Italian model Bianca Balti will attend the gala dinner on 13 June, during which the project will be inaugurated. All proceeds raised from the gala dinner and from the sale of the outfit Bianca will wear to the event will benefit The UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR).

The bridge and the exhibition will open to the public from 14 to 17 June from 6pm to 10pm. Click here for more information.
