Linkin Park's new music video is a tribute to Chester Bennington
Watch Chester Bennington's best moments with the band in 'One More Light'
Linkin Park has released a new music video for One More Light and it's going to make you cry. The clip shows compilation footage of the late vocalist Chester Bennington performing at shows, interacting with fans, recording in the studio and basically just being himself.
It's an emotional video and even more so for band member Joe Hahn who co-directed it with Mark Fiore.
"It has been incredibly emotional to work on this, and especially to watch it," Joe said. "I feel that by doing it, we not only faced some of our biggest fears, but it enabled us to use our talents to bring some light to people that need it."
Mike Shinoda said, "One More Light was written with the intention of sending love to those who lost someone. We now find ourselves on the receiving end. In memorial events, art, videos, and images, fans all over the world have gravitated towards this song as their declaration of love and support for the band and the memory of our dear friend, Chester. We are so very grateful and can’t wait to see you again."
Chester committed suicide in his Los Angeles home in July. In honour of his memory, Linkin Park also announced a tribute concert at the Hollywood Bowl, L.A on 27 October 2017. There, they'll be joined by other artists who knew Chester or were influenced by his music.
Tickets for the show go on sale this Friday, 22 September online. LP Underground members can purchase pre-sale tickets on Thursday.
