The Petronas Twin Towers make a cameo in new 'Independence Day' trailer

Kuala Lumpur's very own Twin Towers are seen falling onto London's Tower Bridge

Independence Day: Resurgence just got even more intense. The first trailer looks tame now, compared to the second one released just hours ago, in which several international landmarks are completely destroyed by the aliens.

The one that hits close to home is at the 2:19 marker, where Kuala Lumpur's Petronas Twin Towers crash onto Tower Bridge in London. Yes, LONDON. But our beloved KLCC isn't the only displaced landmark in the film. Dubai's Burj Khalifa crashes like a gigantic needle right next to the London Eye at 1:14. Also see if you can spot Singapore's Marina Bay Sands about to get wiped out by an ungodly tidal wave of destroyed buildings.

As David Levinson (Jeff Goldblum) says in the trailer, "They like to get the landmarks."

Phew! That's way more destruction than we could ever imagine, but count on aliens (and Roland Emmerich) to make our jaws drop. Starring Jeff Goldblum, Liam Hemsworth, Bill Pullman and Jessie Usher, Independence Day: Resurgence opens in cinemas on 23 June 2016.
